CoCo View Resort is located on the shore of the island of Roatan, the center and largest of the Bay Islands, Honduras. Approximately 30 miles off the coast of Honduras and 840 miles from Miami, Roatan, is mountainous with varied vegetation from palms to pines.    

Diving is what CoCo View Resort is all about.  The crystal clear water and large coral reef make diving on Roatan's south shore extraordinary.  All the corals, sponges, gorgonians, fish life, walls, cracks and crevices that the Bay Islands are famous for are present and abundant.  Almost every species of tropical fish and coral indigenous to the Caribbean can be found.  Walls generally start within 20 feet of the surface, hit a sand slope at 100 feet, then plummet down thousands of feet.  Recent NOAA measurements have discovered an ocean trench with depths over 12,000 feet.  Excellent shallow and medium ranged dives are also available.  The visibility ranges from 75 feet to 125 feet and water temperature ranges from 76-82 degrees.  There is virtually no ocean or tidal current on the south shore of Roatan.  Rise and fall over 24 hours is about 10" to 12". 

CoCo view resort is a friendly, casual, informal resort.  The beachfront clubhouse is the center of activity when not diving.  Located here is the bar, dining room, hammocks, sundeck and a game room which converts to a large meeting room with blackboard, slide screen and projector.  The rooms are comfortable with ceiling fans.  Air conditioning is available in the 9 beach rooms.  Constant trade winds keep the rooms cool even without the fans and air conditioning.  Lightweight casual attire with a windbreaker or light jacket for the evening is all that is needed.
