For Divers wanting to go to greater depths, Normoxic Trimix training is a must. To help reduce the potential for CNS toxicity or DCS, and to help keep clear headed, Divers will learn to optimize their breathing gas by adding helium to the mix. Course participants learn the advantages of using Normoxic Trimix blends as high as 30%. Training dives will be conducted to depths as great as 180 ft (54m) using a decompression gas of 50% EAN.

Divers will be presented with the advantages of adding helium to their breathing mix and the difference between Normoxic and Hypoxic mixes.  Divers will also be shown how the addition of helium impacts dive planning. Divers will learn the procedures utilized during gas planning to determine the mixes of the various gases they will be carrying.

Prerequisites:

• 18 years old
• Certified in:
  • Advanced Open Water
  • Deep Dive
  • Stress & Rescue
  • Enriched Air Nitrox
  • Navigation, wreck or cavern
  • DAN Oxygen Provider
  • Decompression Procedures or equivalent
• 75 logged dives
• 10 logged Extended Range decompression dives utilizing staged decompression.
• 6 logged Nitrox dives
